Their names are Yehudi (male) and Freya (female). Yehudi is the one
with the face that is more black, and Freya is the one that is more
white in her little face. They're brother and sister, and they're about
18 months old now.
They're both sterilised, with full inoculation histories, and they would
come with every cat toy and accessory known to mankind. They're lovely
cats - first of all, they think they're human, so they don't really
behave like cats sometimes. They're very good, and not destructive like
"stereotypical" cats can be sometimes: they don't run up curtains, or
sharpen their nails on my furniture. They like to watch TV, and Yehudi
will play fetch with you if you throw his mouse. They even sit on the
edge of the bath when I bath, and play in the water (it's very important
to remember to run the cold water first, these days - because they like
to play in the water but sometimes lean too far over and fall in).
They're very loving and I think they would just be such good company for
someone who lives alone, or anyone who just wants 2 small, warm friendly
animals around. They're not used to children, so I unfortunately can't
guarantee how they would fit in with kids, but they're soooo laid back I
have a hard time imagining them having a problem with anything, as long
as they get fed and patted regularly. It's only fair to mention any
negative qualities, but there are really so few: Yehudi loves his food,
so he will eat Freya's food if you give him half a chance, and because
he's so furry he did have an occasional hairball when he was younger:
but I've got them both on Royal Canin anti-hairball cat food, and that
seems to have largely sorted out the problem.
Oh yes - they're very attached to each other, so they definitely have to be kept together.
