  • A good idea is to get a dog walker to take the pooches out a couple of days a week to start asap so that when you are in hospital they can still get excercised and this can continue on into the first couple of months when you may not have the time. If you do not want the pooches on the bed or furniture when baby arrives, start with that new rule now. If you suddenly start with new boundaries when baby is here they will start thinking that baby is the reason for the new strict rules. Give your husband a blanket which you will rap around baby for a short while so that they can get used to the smell. Also, give him babies first nappy which you can let them smell. On arriving home try to include the pooches as much as possible, let them sniff baby and see how they react. If you see any signs of aggression please give me a call asap so that we can sort it out before baby starts crawling. And if your boy is not neutered, have him done asap. Good luck and stay calm!
