We have a 3 year old Rigeback male. When I got him I rented a farmhouse where he was taunted and thrown with stones during the day when I was at work. We have since moved and got him a lady friend (also Ridgeback). He is very agressive towards the workers on the farm where I now stay and to get my housekeeper in or out of the house, he needs to locked away first otherwise he attacks her. I had him neutered after advise from a so called expert to make him calm down a bit, this did not have any effect on him! The female on the other hand is friendly and calm, but still very protective. The male on the other hand barks non stop if there are workers close by. I would really like them to be able to go out onto the farm with me, but it is to much of a risk. I would also like the housekeepr to be able to move around the house more freely! He is very alert and an excellent gaurd dog. Do have any advise for us as we are REALLY DESPERATE.
