  • Hi Zee. I can virtually guarantee you he will stop the marking. It may not definately help with the jumping over the fence as I am not sure if he is jumping because he is smelling a bitch on heat. You need to have him done as soon as possible. Are you walking him everyday or is he so bored that he needs to take himself for some outside activity. Does he have a friend that he can play with during the day while his pack leader is our or is he on his own all day. Dogs are pack animals and thrive with their pack. I would suggest getting him a girl friend that he can play with while you are out so that he does not feel the need to go out jolling. Obviously the friend must be sterelised too. What havoc is he causing. Is he being aggressive? Please answer the above questions so that I can help you further.

  • Thank you for replying, he has a friend a male Dutch hound and they play the whole day. They have more than enough toys and I do take them for walks at least 3times a week. He is getting a bit aggressive towards other dogs; guess it’s just an alpha male thing. He doesn’t jump all the time it’s only when he is lock outside and I don’t give him attention.

  • Hi Zee. Firstly your pooches need to get out everyday. As big as you may think your garden is it is not enough stimulation for a dog, especially a dog who likes to jump walls. Also his aggression sounds as if it is because of his testosterone so I would advise having him done asap before it becomes a problem. Neutering a dog over 2 is not as effectived as doing it when they are younger but if you do him now it will still be ok. All the best and keep me updated.
